Captain Berling is a character from Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. She's the captain of Berling's Mercenaries.
Profile
In order to become the greatest mercenaries in the Leicester Alliance, Berling has her mercenaries take on Jeralt's Mercenaries, the most renowned mercenaries in Leicester. While she and her mercenaries do well initially, once Byleth and the main force of Jeralt's Mercenaries enter the fray, Berling goes ahead to face Byleth. She's cut down by Byleth before Shez can reach her and assist.
Personality
Berling fancies herself a rival of Jeralt and wishes to supplant him and his mercenary company as the greatest known within the Leicester Alliance. She takes a cutthroat approach to achieve her goal by staging a direct attack on Jeralt's Mercenaries while a portion of his mercenary company is away. Her overconfidence, however, is her downfall. Her brazen attack leads to her quick death, as well as the total destruction of her mercenary company, once Byleth and the remaining portion of Jeralt's Mercenaries return and go on the counterattack, crushing her easily.
