Kocos are green or red clownfish that are common in the underwater levels of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. They are literally designed like clownfish, having white face paint and a red clown nose. Kocos behave much like a Bitesize from the original Donkey Kong Country, except that there are two color variations of Kocos, and Kocos attack slightly differently than a Bitesize.
Description
Kocos appear only in Donkey Kong Country 3 and Donkey Kong Land 3's aquatic levels. Red Kocos, the most common ones, will slowly swim left or right, not seeking out Dixie or Kiddy Kong, while the green ones either move in a straight line or do not move at all. Enguarde the Swordfish will make quick work of them with a bash of his bill.
In Fish Food Frenzy, Kocos are very important, as the Nibbla that follows the Kongs around must eat Kocos in order to not harm the Kongs.
Koco's other notable appearances was on the cover box art of Donkey Kong Land III.
