Gloops are enemies that are only seen in Donkey Kong Land. They are small black and white angelfish. Apparently, they almost closely resemble the unused enemy, Pucka. And the irony is that Gloops are the smaller relatives to the larger Fangfish, who, in the pre-release development stage of the game, is called Pucka Jr., obviously making the Fangfish the larger child relative of Pucka.
