Bazzas are a species of olive-green fish resembling barracudas, appearing as enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III.

History

Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES / GBA)

Bazzas swim from one coral to another in a horizontal path. The Kongs must swim past them with the right timing, as Bazzas swim out of their hiding spots in regular intervals. They are featured prominently throughout the level Bazza's Blockade, a level located in Cotton Top Cove.

Bazzas appear more frequently in the GBA remake of Donkey Kong Country 3 due to the addition of the world Pacifica.

Donkey Kong Land III

Bazzas reappear in Donkey Kong Land III, retaining the same role from the previous game. They appear more frequently in the GBA remake of DKC3 due to the addition of the world Pacifica.

Trivia

• A beta screenshot of the SNES version of Donkey Kong Country 3 showed Bazzas as pale blue, eel-like creatures. Strangely, this screenshot was featured in the game's box, and official artwork shows a Bazza with it's beta appearance.
