"Wolf Boy" is the second segment of the thirty-eighth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on August 9, 2019 alongside "Vamp-iversary" and is the second segment of the thirteenth episode of the second season.
Synopsis
The Hauntleys have a new guest at the Scare B&B, a wolf boy named Fangbert.
Plot
Vampirina, Demi, and Gregoria are preparing the toys and food for their wolf guests. Meanwhile, Edgar is getting ready for his Weekly Weirdness full moon special, his web show's biggest episode every month. Last time, he had twelve viewers, and gets his telescope just right. The Lycanthralls then arrive; Al and his sone Fangbert introduce themselves. Vampirina and Fangbert then go outside for a snack while Oxana and Boris show Al around the Scare B&B.
Fangbert then tries the snacks, only for the others to notice that he doesn't have any fangs. Fangbert states that he is a wolf-boy, meaning he's half-wolf and half-woman. So, Al brought him here to make some human friends, as every wolf needs a pack, even if it humans. Vampirina states that she made lots of friends so far, and goes to get Poppy and Bridget while Fangbert notices Edgar's Moon Gazer 2,000, and they greet each other. Edgar mentions what he is planning to spot on his telescope, and notices Fangbert's characteristics, which is who he is.
Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget then arrive, but can't find Fangbert. Vampirina mentions who he is, and they eventually find him. Fangbert states that he doesn't fit anywhere, as he doesn't have a pack, but he wants one of his own. Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget decide to help Fangbert find his human pack by trying some human things to fit in with human friends. Fangbert states that he'd like to do so with Edgar, as he's a true full moon fan.
First, they go to the kitchen, while Chef Remy Bones prepares some cupcakes. Fangbert then jumps to get the bowls, but accidentally spills the flour and bumps some cups and plates which Vampirina catches, due to his tail getting in the way. The next human thing he does is painting, which Vampirina and her friends do all the time in human school. So far, everything is going well, but while Fangbert is trying to mix colors for the surface of the full moon, he spills the paint all over the room and later shakes it everywhere, as his wolf instincts take over.
Next, Fangbert decides to play Bridget's guitar, and so far, he does a great job until he breaks the strings, as he forgot that his guitar at home has monster-strength strings. Vampirina tells him that it can be hard trying human things, and decides for her friends to do something Fangbert likes to do, like fetch. They then play catch, but they are playing with a magical shrieker ball, which then tweaks Edgar's telescope. Fangbert then retrieves the ball, but is having trouble controlling it, and tells Edgar that he is practicing his full moon dance. Edgar assumes that it is interesting. However, the ball continues to go out of control and heads in the sky.
Fangbert then decides to jump high enough to get it, and he does so. Edgar notices it, and he has to set up for his episode all over again. Fangbert apologizes, and Edgar fixes the telescope. Fangbert mentions that no matter how hard he tries, he'll never have a pack of his own. Although Poppy and Bridget tell him to return, Fangbert decides to find someone who loves the full moon as much as he does. Vampirina decides to cheer him up by watching the full moon with Edgar, as he is the only one she knows, human or monster, who loves it as much as he does. Fangbert then tries to do so to find his pack. Later, Fangbert then shares facts of the moon with Edgar, and the full moon then appears. Fangbert and Edgar then howl at it, and are having a great time. Vampirina assumes that Fangbert found his pack after all, and Gregoria then howls, while Edgar and Fangbert continue to do so.
