Owl Man was a novelty act from Season 7 of America's Got Talent. He returned in Season 17 as Parrot Man. He was eliminated in the audition round. He returned in Season 19 as Owl Man where he was again eliminated in the audition round.
Background
Parrot Man's real name is David Safier. He is from Van Nuys, California and works as a security guard at a fast food restaurant. He appeared on The Gong Show in 2017 under the guise of "The Owl Man" where he was gonged. [1]
Season 7 Audition
According to a video uploaded in 2012 on David Safier's YouTube channel, he auditioned as Owl Man in Season 7 but his audition was not televised and his verdict is unknown.[2]
Season 17 Audition
Parrot Man's audition in Episode 1706 consisted of repeating the phrase "How You Guys Doin' Tonight?". Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell all buzzed the act. All the judges voted "No", eliminating him from the competition.
Season 19 Audition
Owl Man's audition in Episode 1905 consisted of singing Baha Men's "Who Let the Dogs Out?". Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell all buzzed the act. All 4 judges voted "No", eliminating him from the competition.
Trivia
- Some AGT fans believed that Parrot Man was the infamous Sethward, returning again to troll the judges. However, Sethward did eventually return as "The Big Apple" in Episode 1708.
- David would audition in Season 18 under the name Dave and Jay, but it was never televised.
