Background

Young-Min’s real name is Kim Young-Min. He is from South Korea. He has been performing magic since 2009. In 2015, he won the title of FISM World Champion at Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde.

Audition

Young-Min’s performance in Episode 1905 consisted of performing a sand based magic routine set to Ursine Vulpine & Annaca’s cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”. All 4 judges voted "Yes", sending him to the next round.

Young-Min was selected to advance to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals

Young-Min's Quarterfinal performance in Episode 1911 consisted of performing a magic routine incorporating sand to make his blindfold disappear and making flowers grow and light up before vanishing into thin air set to C.K. Martin’s “Legacy”. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofía Vergara and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. He received enough votes to enter the top 5 of the night in Episode 1912 instead of Biko's Manna, and advanced to the Semifinals along with Alex Sampson and Sky Elements instead of Ashlee Montague and Bboy Samuka.

Semifinals

Young-Min's Semifinal performance in Episode 1917 consisted of performing a magic routine incorporating sand, light and a moment of quick change. Howie Mandel gave him a standing ovation. He did not receive enough votes to advance to the Finals in Episode 1918, eliminating him from the competition instead of Solange Kardinaly.

After the Show

In 2024, Young-Min competed on the eleventh season of Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales.
