Harper was a metal singer from Season 17 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background
Making waves as a musician at 9 years old is no easy feat, but only one year into her music career, Harper, from Somerset, England, has already turned heads within the rock and metal music scene. Bursting onto the scene in the summer of 2021 with her own rendition of "Holy Roller" by Spiritbox, Harper earned 220,000+ views and the approval of Spiritbox themselves. Harper flew to Los Angeles for her first live performance in front of celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara on "AGT." Singing to an audience of over 3,000 in Pasadena and Heidi, Sofia and Simon. Howie Mandel was absent during her audition, Harper proved that she could hold her own, even at only 9 years old.
Audition
Harper's audition in Episode 1703 consisted of scream-singing Spiritbox's "Holy Roller". Heidi, Sofia, Simon and her father Jake (unofficially) all voted "Yes", sending her to the next round.
Deliberations
Harper was selected to advance to the Semifinals.
Semifinals
Harper's Semifinals performance in Episode 1716 consisted of scream-singing Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits". Simon Cowell gave her a standing ovation. She did not receive enough votes to enter the Top 5 of the night in Episode 1717, eliminating her from the competition along with The Lazy Generation instead of Jack Williams.
Trivia
Harper is the first metal singer to advance to the live shows since Aaralyn & Izzy in Season 8.
