Phillip Lewis is from Statesboro, Georgia.
Phillip explained that his mom was his biggest supporter and how she encouraged him and each of his siblings to find the thing that they were most passionate about and commit themselves to following through with these passions.
Phillip taught himself baton twirling as he explained he never had his own coach and nor was he a member of a baton twirling team. Phillip began performing baton twirling in his front yard at the age of 17 and felt his performance was a testament to how hard he had worked on his baton twirling over the last decade.
Audition
Phillip Lewis' audition in Episode 1902 consisted of performing a baton routine to Fleur East's "Sax". All 4 judges voted "Yes", sending him to the next round.

Phillip was selected to advance to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals
Phillip Lewis' Quarterfinal performance in Episode 1909 consisted of performing a baton routine to Fleur East's "Like That". Despite dropping the baton multiple times Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell gave him standing ovations. He did not receive enough votes to enter the top 5 of the night in Episode 1910, eliminating him from the competition instead of Roni Sagi & Rhythm.
