The T-62 Obr. 1972 is a variant of the T-62 used by the Soviet Union in the Wargame series. It was first made available in Wargame: European Escalation. This variant did not appear in Wargame: Red Dragon, having been replaced by the T-62 Obr. 1975.

History

T-62 Obr. 1972 represents a T-62 Obr.1967 with a DShK M38/46 MG installed on the loader's hatch and was fitted with an improved fording attachment; while T-62 Obr. 1967 represents a T-62 Obr. 1960 (default T-62 in-game) with a slightly modified engine deck and an OPVT deep wading system.

Overview

The only change over the base T-62 is the addition of a machine gun, similar to the upgrade of base T-55. The machine gun is useful for panicking helicopters and infantry in the open, and costs almost no supply to refill.
