Plot
Introduction Arc
Glasp first appears during the meeting between the worlds' representatives, accompanied by Gyuta and Riam.[1] He reveals to have escaped from branch 2 after it was destroyed by something other than Robots and he was rescued by Sorcerion after. Thousands of soldiers were deceased, leaving only him and a few survivors.[2] He agrees to lead the command at Zaybi's offer. He tells Keila to refer to him as just a regular old man, as the Anti-Machine Combat Force is no more.[3] After a briefing, he stresses the importance of transportation magic and Hallow's strategy to make natural enemies fight each other, but warns that sacrifices will be inevitable.[4][5] However, after listening to Masayoshi's option of remaining stationary, he agrees that careful observation is the best course of action at the moment. He then joins the introduction conversations with residents from other worlds.[6]
Titans vs The Neo-Humans Arc
Glasp is present in a small conversation when Hallow, Keila and Ario join.[7] He then summons Samone and Pakkya to provide more information about the Titans and discuss countermeasures. He states that Hallow's plan will come into motion by leading the Titans to Neo-Humans' territory.[8] He appears in the meeting after the plan's success where Kira reports the mission.[9]
Demons vs Aliens Arc
During the Demons' invasion, Glasp stays in the meeting room. He questions Thear about the weapon in outer space and tells him to use at maximum power to lure the Madalans in.[10] Despite getting criticized for his decisions, Glasp makes it clear humans have no choice and they must come up with a plan before late.[11] He remarks Kiva's impressive regeneration when Zaybi heals him.[12] When Zaybi begins to cast the Grand Teleportation Magic, Glasp wants to know the specific risks mentioned earlier and doubts the worth of using it.[13] He then wants Gio to pinpoint the abandoned church's location that they can teleport to.[14] After arriving to Land of the Lawless, Glasp and everyone are shocked to see humans attacking each other.[15]
Demon Lord Arc
When Cartel forbids Thear from approaching the Lawless humans due to the risk of parasite infection, Glasp remarks that since the fire is effective against the parasites, must they still avoid the burned corpses as well. Cartel clarifies that they need to steer clear of people who may have come into contact with the eroders, the wurms. She explains that in her world, there is an ironclad rule to monitor potentially infected individuals for 48 hours.[16] When Mika proposes voting on whether to save a captive woman despite the infection risk, Glasp points out that they already have sick people to care for and must weigh the risks carefully before taking action.[17]
After the Lawless supposedly save Zaybi from a parasite, one of Indignia's men wonders if the Lawless might actually be good people. Gio dismisses the idea, saying that they aren't like that, but Glasp advises against jumping to conclusions, suggesting they wait and see.[18] A Gaia's Wrath inhabitant warns that the Lawless intend to harm Zaybi, prompting Glasp to ask how he can hear them from such a distance. When Cartel suggests abandoning Zaybi to his fate, believing he is infected, Glasp insists they still need him. He inquires whether equipping their full armor set from The Mecha Ordinance will protect them from the parasites. Peyo responds that while the armor might help, it cannot eliminate the parasites already inside Zaybi.
A couple brave souls from Neo-Terra volunteer to rescue Zaybi, declaring that since they are already useless, they won't mind facing a few parasites. Shocked, Glasp urges them not to speak that way. He thinks about how they all are a ragtag group, birds of different feathers, and that their opinions will differ when the push comes to shove. Ultimately, he agrees to the plan and orders them to hide. Glasp then commands his squad to fire non-lethal rounds at the Lawless to ensure Zaybi's safety.[19] After the Neo-Terrans succeed in saving Zaybi, Glasp marvels at their courage, wondering how they could have considered themselves useless.[20] However, the rescue provokes an attack from the Lawless. Glasp orders his soldiers to deploy a smokescreen to buy time. He praises the Neo-Terrans for their bravery and asks about Zaybi's condition. They report that he appears weak.[21]
As disagreements arise among the survivors regarding their next steps, Glasp offers to negotiate with the Lawless. If negotiations fail, he states that Keila will take command. Iglay, however, laughs and claims the effort will be futile.[22]
When the Lawless approach, the survivors warn them to leave if they value their lives. Glasp silently hopes they retreat. Gore, the leader of the Kyokai's assault team, reveals his knowledge of their worlds' technologies and calls their bluff. Glasp realizes that Gore seems to know everything about them. Suddenly, a large group of soldiers appears, revealed to be Masayoshi and other refugees under the illusion of the Decoration spell. Masayoshi announces the arrival of reinforcements, prompting Glasp to play along with the bluff. They successfully scare the Lawless to retreat, for the time being. As Glasp watches the Lawless leave, he acknowledges the need to address the parasites within Zaybi and the Neo-Terran volunteers.[23]
Later, Glasp theorizes that the deceased King may have originally hosted a parasite and that Bastz placed a curse on him to inhibit the parasite's growth. Under this assumption, Glasp suggests they might be able to halt the parasites within Zaybi and the other infected allies. He brings up the possibility of a type of magic capable of affecting the body in ways that transcend the laws of physics, unlike medicine or chemicals. Given the parasites' lower resistance to things from other worlds, Glasp speculates that powerful magic could push a person's body to its limits — to the brink of death — and potentially affecting the parasite.[24]
Current Arc
Four days later, Glasp watches as Thear, with Samone's help, installs a portable solar generator. Thear explains how it will generate enough electricity for their daily lives. Glasp notes that it will also supply energy to their weapons and thanks Thear. The captain responds simply, saying it's all about give and take.
Zaybi arrives and comments on how well they have settled. They note that the Lawless have yet to attack again, and Zaybi wonders if they could form some kind of alliance since the Lawless are also human. Iglay arrives and calls them naïve. When Zaybi dismisses her warning about the Lawless, she pulls a knife to his neck and reveals that she and a third of the refugees are actually part of the Lawless. She demands they hand over everything to them.
Glasp, Thear, and Zaybi feel betrayed, but Iglay suddenly reveals the knife is just a toy from the Disastrous Metropolis' children and that she was acting. When Iglay's pet, Sam, barks, she calms it down. Glasp, however, questions when she plans to eat the dog, referring to it as an emergency ration. He points out that they are wasting food and water on the animal and that keeping it alive is inefficient. Iglay, confused, tells him that Sam is her family.[25]
After Masayoshi and Samone lured the baby Tyrant Bear to Kyokai's base, a massive mother Tyrant Bear followed and launched an attack as well. Watching from a distance at their own base, Glasp and the rest of the allied humans observe the situation unfold. Glasp remarks that he is impressed by Masayoshi, noting that with the Lawless now preoccupied with the Tyrant Bear, Zaybi has the perfect opportunity to escape.[26]
