History

On February 13, 2025, Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. opened pre-orders for Synthesizer V Studio 2 on its international store, as well as pre-orders for Synthesizer V 2 AI versions of all of its signature voice databases, including Weina 2. The release date was set to March 21. Also, a limited-period campaign was launched that would allow current owners of Dreamtonics' Synthesizer V AI voice databases (like Feng Yi) to upgrade them to their Synthesizer V 2 AI versions at deep discounts.[1] For reasons unknown, Weina 2 was not included as part of the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Bundle Set.[2]

Weina 2 was released on March 21 as expected.

This is the Synthesizer V Studio 2 version of Weina, a feminine Mandarin Chinese and English voice database based on the singing style of Weina Hu. As an AI vocal, this enables her to sound realistic and human-like. As part of the Synthesizer V AI Gold Series, she represented the highest standard of production and was a model product for professional musicians to demonstrate AI's ultimate sound quality.

Vocal traits as noted:
  • Weina was described to have a mature and reliable voice with a mezzo-soprano base.
  • Her voice was considered full, rich, and powerful, reaching maturity.
  • She was noted to be flexible as she could switch freely between different singing styles, from soulful lead singing, an explosive chorus, a rhythmic accompaniment, or a jubilant humming. She showed a wide range of adaptability and potential high-pitch performance in the mid-bass field.
  • Weina 2 is able to sing more realistically through changes in volume and breath, further enriching singing details, making each singing unique, and providing creators with more options. Through this mode, she can use AI Retakes to create multiple "takes" of a sung section to find an ideal vocal without the need for "laborious tuning". This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.

  • Through Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis, Weina 2 can sing in not only Mandarin Chinese and English but also in Japanese, Cantonese Chinese, Spanish, and Korean. This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.

  • OS: Windows 11/10 (64-bit) / Mac OS X 10.13 or newer.[3]
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 or newer / equivalent AMD Ryzen CPUs / Apple Silicon M1 or newer.[3]
  • Memory: 4GB or more.[3]
  • HDD: 1GB or more.[3]
    • This is the space required when one voice database is installed.
    • Space is required according to the number of voice databases to be installed.
  • Others: audio device, internet connection required, email address able to send and receive messages required. (You need to create an account at Dreamtonics to use the product.)
    • Please check the product page for the latest operating environment. Even if you do not have a DVD-ROM drive, you can install the software via the Internet. Even if the software meets the requirements for operation, we do not guarantee that it will work on all computers.
