History

On February 13, 2025, Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. opened pre-orders for Synthesizer V Studio 2 on its international store, as well as pre-orders for Synthesizer V 2 AI versions of all of its signature voice databases, including Cong Zheng 2. The release date was set to March 21. Also, a limited-period campaign was launched that would allow current owners of Dreamtonics' Synthesizer V AI voice databases (like Cong Zheng) to upgrade them to their Synthesizer V 2 AI versions at deep discounts.[1]

Package details as noted:
This is the Synthesizer V Studio 2 version of Cong Zheng, a feminine Mandarin Chinese voice database. As an AI vocal, this enables her to sound realistic and human-like. She is a synthetic voice created with the image of a rock singer, a first attempt for Dreamtonics, and was described to have a bold and emotive voice.

Vocal traits as noted:
  • Cong Zheng's voice was described to have a bright, gutsy tone and strong, energetic voice.
  • She was noted to be suitable for works with strong rhythms and orchestration, and she can maintain the mood and tone of the song with complex vocal details, bringing an emotional performance. She was made to capture the strong impression left by female Chinese rock singers, balancing emotional sincerity and power.
  • Her powerful voice was based in a bright modal register, which extended to the upper soprano range and a smooth and natural falsetto. It was easy for her to maintain her emotive vocal style in stronger songs, quickly adapting to other genres. It's considered to be multifaceted and full of potential.
  • Cong Zheng 2 is able to sing more realistically through changes in volume and breath, further enriching singing details, making each singing unique, and providing creators with more options. Through this mode, she can use AI Retakes to create multiple "takes" of a sung section to find an ideal vocal without the need for "laborious tuning". This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.

Phonetic notes as noted:
  • Phonetic format: X-SAMPA
  • Through Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis, Cong Zheng 2 can sing in not only Mandarin Chinese but also in English, Japanese, Cantonese Chinese, Spanish, and Korean. This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.

Vocal Modes as noted (Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor only):

Cong Zheng 2 comes with six variations within the Vocal Mode function:
