Computron

Computron

Computron (Known as Computicon (コンピューティコン Konpyūtikon) in Japan) is the combination of the five Autobot Technobots. The Technobots had figured out to find the solution by pooling their intellects as one cohesive force. Of all the Combiner robots, he is the most successful at merging the different personalities of his component bots. The Autobot processes input from each of Technobots and evaluates all possible outcomes to identify the perfect plan of attack. However, the price to pay is that it interferes with the Computron's reaction time.

In the cartoon, Computron was voiced by the late Bert Kramer.

History

Bio

Computron is a combiner team of scientifically minded Autobots who have figured out how to pool their intellects into a single cohesive force. As a result, their combined form, Computron, is smarter than most gestalts, though he has issues with his reaction time.

Cartoon

Comics

Computron only appears in one issue of the mini-series The Headmasters; Love and Steel, where the Technobots combine to battle Abominus while he was attacking the Nebulan city of Splendora. Asking the Nebulan civilians to seek shelter, he battled his combiner opponent, blasting him with his acid-pellet gun, before shattering him into his Terrorcon remains. Unfortunately, due to the destruction caused by the battle, Computron was looked on with fear by the civilians.

Abilities

  • Computron is a super Transformer whose mind & body are formed from combination of the Technobots.
  • Computron has incredible physical strength & great endurance & physical resilience to enemy's artillery blasts. He could lift up to 240 US Tons (~ 480,000 pounds or 214.29 Imperial Tons or 217.72 Tonnes).
  • His radar and communications capabilities are exceptional. His most notable attribute is his unusual intelligence along with extensive data storage and data processing capacities. The disparate personalities of the Technobots contribute their strengths to Computron's mind while minimize their personal weaknesses, which makes Computron one of the most succesful combiners in terms of physical & mental aspects. Computron can analyze the information provided by his components so completely that he has 98% chance of divining the correct response for any new situation. It's rare to see Computron give wrong analyses.

Arsenal: Computron has significantly above average firepower

  • Computron's primary weapon is Scattershot's automatic acid-pellet guns that can pump up to 500 round in 0.12 breems (roughly a minute). It now shoots capsules containing a highly corrosive liquid that explodes on impact.
  • Additionally, Computron can utilize armaments from the Technobots to enhance his firepower even further.

Weaknesses

  • Slow decision-making is Computron's most glaring liability. Sometimes, he even needs more than a breem (over 8.35 minutes) to analyze a situation & respond to it. While his physical strength & resilence allow him to resist damage from enemy's attack, his allies may be exposed to greater risk if he fails to respond to it at the right moment. His lack of speed adds up even more.
  • Even though his data storage and data processing are magnificient, attempting to process excessive data can cause overheat to him, which can cause breaking down.

Quotes

Brawn without brains ill-becomes a warrior, Decepticon! You're too data-deficient to even comprehend what this acid-pellet gun is doing to you!
