Britney

Britney (ブリトニー Buritonī?) is a soldier that served under the now-disbanded Nero Empire, as a member of Poseidon Nero's Commando Team, Beast Squad 6.[1]

Appearance

Britney is a young woman with long hair that has a swirly slick on top and the bangs, and a voluptuous figure. She wears oval glasses and a strapless dark dress with a long coat that has two dark armbands, a black and white-collar, and a symbol of the Nero Empire at the back over it, long stockings, and dark shoes.[1][2]

Personality

Britney is a professional woman, willing to carry out a mission as part of the job in a cold manner.[1] She has standards, such as when she scolded Mora for his disparaging comment about machines that could offend Orc who is half-machine.[2] However, Britney gets riled up when she takes Rebecca to not be smart for thinking that shooting or kicking her smoke form would work. This reminds her of a prettier yet stupid girl who tried flirting with a man. She declares that women like Rebecca deserve to rot and die, and sadistically smiles upon seeing her suffer under the poisonous mist.[3][4] Britney takes pride in her superior intelligence and spends the entire fight mocking Rebecca for her inferior intelligence.[5][6]

Like her teammates, Britney is loyal to her emperor, Poseidon Nero, and is willing to eliminate anyone who stands in her way.[7]

Synopsis

Foresta arc

Britney is deployed to Foresta with Mora and Orc to purge the Verdant Planet of robots, questioning whether or not the havoc wreaked within the Coral Sector was caused by Ziggy. With her teammates ready to do their job, Britney adjusts her glasses and declares to commence operations.[8]

In the middle of a mission, Britney and Orc stumble upon Mora beating down Shiki. She scolds Mora for his offending remark about machines, reminding him that Orc is half-machine. Noticing Shiki, Britney uses her glasses to scan his Ether and learns that he is the Demon King by identification code.[9] Britney overhears Weisz demanding Shiki to use his gravity to free from Mora's glue trapping his friends in the trees. Using her glasses, she witnesses Shiki sending the giant robot's head that was thrown by Orc flying away with Satan Gravity and confirms him to be a gravity user just like Shura.[10]

Spark Heaven Anime

When a fleet of Foresta's bomber drones appear with hostile intent to exterminate the humans with high Ether levels via massive carpet bombing, Britney remains unfazed and orders Orc to clear the skies.[11] In the middle of the burning forest, Britney appears before Rebecca with smoke manifesting from her body and tells Rebecca in a cold manner that she will never be seeing her crew again.[12] Britney declares to Rebecca that Beast will remove anyone who stands in their way and they will be deemed an enemy of her emperor, Poseidon Nero. She turns her body into smoke and charges at Rebecca. Britney asks Rebecca if the Ether bullets from her Happy Blasters will really work on smoke as they pass through her, and reveals about her Ether Gear, Smoke Bar, stating that no one can catch her. She then attacks Rebecca, Happy and Pino with Spark Heaven. Turning around, Britney detects a drop in Ether from her opponents with her glasses and coldly mocks them to be small fry.[13]

In her smoke form, Britney informs a worried Rebecca that Happy and Pino must have been short-circuited by her assault. Using her glasses, Britney asks Rebecca about her Ether Gear after scanning that the numbers are very low but for some reason, she senses an unusual power which the young woman claims that it is speed after taking off her footwear to fight.[14]

Poison Mist Anime

Britney stands before Rebecca in her fighting stance and is surprised by her opponent's speed. When Rebecca disappears in a flash of speed, Britney wonders if she is over there on her right only to get kicked in the head by Rebecca. However, due to her Ether Gear, the female Beast member is unaffected by Rebecca's kick and asks the young woman if she thinks her physical attack would work on smoke, noting that her opponent is not very bright. Using Poison Mist, Britney attacks Rebecca in sudden anger and reveals that she hates stupid women. She rants about how she despises them and Rebecca's similarity to one who tried to flirt with someone, deeming the person to be a complete airhead who is only slightly more attractive. Britney sends more of the Poison Mist at her opponent, declaring that women like Rebecca deserve to rot and die. The bespectacled woman gets kicked in the face again but remains unaffected by her smoke form, stating that speed will not help her against smoke. However, she is surprised to see that it was an afterimage while Rebecca runs away with Happy and Pino from her. She coldly mocks Rebecca that she can not calculate the difference between their speeds and calls her stupid, catching up to her at full speed. However, Britney is impeded when Rebecca runs towards the burning forest, where the young woman explains that smoke goes up when it is next to the fire. She is somewhat surprised that Rebecca is subscribed to the Stem Girls Channel of Miyako. After Rebecca manages to gain distance, Britney states that she will not get away from her.[15]

Blue Cat Kick Anime

Britney soon finds Rebecca in the middle of a town and follows her inside the electronics shop, the Elecloth. She is briefly shocked that to find her target holding a vacuum cleaner, before mocking Rebecca as stupid for not knowing that it has a user lock. She spreads the poisonous mist around her opponent before Rebecca could use the password Pino gives for the vacuum cleaner. Britney explains that the poison is highly corrosive malvaro nitride and that it can rot away human skin upon contact. She sadistically smiles, watching Rebecca suffer a slow and painful death under the Poison Mist. Just then, Rebecca's Ether Gear activates and turns back time to the moment Britney catches up to Rebecca in the town and follows her to the electronics shop once more. The bespectacled woman is shocked to see Rebecca wield the vacuum cleaner after unlocking it and gets sucked into it helplessly. While Britney is stuck inside the vacuum cleaner, Rebecca sends her flying into the sky with Aoneko Kick.[16]

Powers and Abilities

Smoke Bar (スモークバー Sumōku Bā): Britney uses this Ether Gear to manifest smoke from various parts of her body.[12] She is able to turn her body into smoke, enabling her to avoid physical assaults, letting them pass through her,[17] and can also alter its properties.[18][19]

  • Smoke Body: By converting her body to smoke, Britney becomes unaffected by physical attacks,[17] and can also hover in the air and fly.[20] (Unnamed)
  • Spark Heaven (スパークヘブン Supāku Hebun): Britney turns her body into an electrically charged smoke to pass through her opponents' bodies, harming them.[18]
  • Poison Mist (ポイズンミスト Poizun Misuto): Britney turns her body into a smoke made of highly corrosive malvaro nitride that causes the surrounding area and the human body's skin affected by it to rot away.[19][21]

Enhanced Speed: Britney can fly at great speed, being able to catch up to Rebecca while she is running with her Cat Leaper active.[20]

Equipment

Glasses: Britney's glasses are able to identify Ether types of individuals after witnessing it in action for a short period of time.[22][23]
