Oceans 6

The Oceans 6 (オーシャンズ６, Ōshanzu 6^?) is a group of elite individuals who were the top officials of the Nero Empire^[1], outranking all other factions and teams within the Empire.^[2] They were under the direct command of Poseidon Nero of the Oración Seis Galáctica, and whoever is assigned command of the team by Nero.^[3]

Overview

As the Nero Empire's special forces^[4], the Oceans 6 were chosen by the Emperor himself and are the most powerful soldiers in the Aoi Cosmos.^[5] The Oceans consist of the old generation who are considered tough by the Imperial Army^[6], and the new generation who are "warriors who can make black white and white black" and they have the power to tamper with their enemies' Ether^[7] and forcibly reconfigure another person's Ether.^[8]

The new generation of Oceans 6 wields an Imperial technique that alters an opponent's condition in conjunction with their Ether Gear called "Empire Ether".^[9]

However, there is an imbalance within the Oceans as the new generation looks down on the old generation for not understanding how they work differently and believed that they do not need them.^[10] On the other hand, the Imperial Army does not regard the new generation highly and prefers the old generation that they respected before they are then warned to not underestimate the former.^[6]

The Oceans new generation uses the "Oceans Group Chat" where they can communicate with each other through their phones.^[11]

History

Foresta arc

After Beast Squad 1's quick defeat and imprisonment by Victory and Creed of the Interstellar Union Army, the bespectacled soldier comments how the Commando Team Beast are ranked below Oceans.^[2] Justice of the Oración Seis Interestellar then briefly wonders why Poseidon Nero did not deploy Oceans despite the situation with hostile bots in Foresta.^[12]

The Oceans 6 are assembled by Nero on Nero 1, alongside Poseidon Shura, to discuss the matter of Ziggy and what he did to Foresta.^[1] When Nero sees the result of his rolling of the guiding dice, the Emperor declares that he will not intervene and leaves the matter of the Demon King in Shura's hands much to the surprise of his son and the Oceans 6. After Ijuna officially transfers the command of Ocean 6 to the prince, the members ask Shura what will be their orders, ready to carry them out. Flattening one of the dice on the table, Shura boldly declares to them that he is going to squash Ziggy like a bug and leave him a pile of beat-up scrap metal.^[13]

The Oceans 6 are ready for departure to the remote planet Nero 66 where they would find clues to finding Ziggy. However, Shura swiftly crushes Cyca in the head with Satan Gravity in front of them. Only Fabiano is openly outraged by such callous action while the other members just stoically watched, smile, or comment on it. Shura justifies that they are going to fight the "King of the Robots" and he does not want robots on his side.^[14]

Sandra arc

One week after the Foresta incident, the Oceans 6 are dispatched to Salton and five other planets where they massacred the innocent bots and covered it up as robot revolts caused by Ziggy in the official Aoi News report while Shura makes a public statement to the people of the Nero Empire and declare "Judgment Day" on the robots in the Aoi Cosmos.^[15]

The Oceans 6 are on Nero 66 with Shura where they hang out and relax at the pool resort except Fabiano who chooses to remain at The Temple, and Callum who refuses to partake in their activities and asks Shura if Ziggy will come here to this planet for the All-Link System.^[16]

Nero 66 arc

After being defeated by Weisz and running away to safety, Nasseh informs his fellow Oceans in the Oceans 6 Group Chat that their enemies can use Overdrive with Mirrani supporting his claim with her defeat by Homura's hand.^[11]

When 20,000 Imperial Antimatter Bombs on Nero 66 are activated by Ziggy through the All-Link System, the Oceans 6 leave the planet with an escape pod that Nasseh prepared for them just in case.^[17]

Edens Zero Reunion arc

Members

• Callum Steelford: A stoic and calm young man who uses Carburetor, an Ether Gear that manipulates mist in conjunction with his Skymech Ninjutsu fighting style.
• Lyra: A playful young woman with heterochromia who uses Gambler's Rush, an Ether Gear that manipulates playing cards.
• Nasseh: A smug yet refined young man who uses Eye of Horus, an Ether Gear that uses electrical signals to place hypnotic suggestions on his enemies.
• Mirrani Lucra: An outspoken young woman in Arabian-style attire who uses Mirror Trick, an Ether Gear that involves the use of mirrors.
• Cyca: The sole robot member of Oceans 6 and one of the weaker members of the group. In Universe 2, He was killed by Shura.
• Fabiano: A middle aged man in a nobleman's military outfit who was part of the old generation of Oceans and was the strongest soldier in the Imperial Army. He uses an unnamed Ether Gear that can crystalize his body. In Universe 2, He was killed by Jaguar of the Oración Seis Interstellar.
