"WEREWOLF" is a song by Doja Cat featuring Tay Hundreds. The song, originally recorded in December 2017, was released to Tay Hundreds' SoundCloud account on May 8, 2021, without Doja Cat's permission. The upload was later taken down.
Background
Doja Cat produced and wrote her verses of the song on a Periscope livestream titled Werewolfi on December 20, 2017. The song was previewed again during a Periscope livestream titled "I don't know where my wig has gone" on January 11, 2018. The song was never released around this time.
On January 24, 2018, Doja had done a poll on Twitter asking fans which song she should release during February. The poll consisted of "STFU", "ROTATION", "LOOK" and "BABY". As "BABY" was winning, Doja redone the poll as people thought "BABY" was referring to her (at the time) upcoming album Baby, that was later retitled to Amala. She replaced that song on the poll re-do with "WEREWOLF". Despite this, none of the songs ever saw a release.
During Doja's Instagram Live on June 18, 2018, Tay Hundreds asked her in the comments "when we dropping werewolf cuh". Doja pinned his comment and proceeded by saying that she doesn't want to put it out anymore.
Despite this, Tay Hundreds released the song to his SoundCloud account on May 8, 2021, before later taking it down. He stated on a now deleted tweet on Twitter, "If anybody sees Doja Cat, trip her for me".
