Photon Maiden is an all-girl DJ group in the Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ franchise and (chronologically) the second unit of Generation I. They are a DJ unit working under an entertainment agency.[1] Their music genre consists of techno, trance, future house, and dance.
Photon Maiden consists of four members: Izumo Saki, Niijima Ibuki, Hanamaki Towa, and Fukushima Noa. The music producer of their songs is Mizushima Seiji; in-universe, this role is initially given to Himegami Shano, before Ibuki succeeds her role when Shano decides to step down and reunite with the other members of Call of Artemis.[2]

Trivia
- In the fandom, Photon Maiden is commonly referred to and abbreviated as "PhoMai".
- The surnames of the members are based off of airports around Japan; Izumo, Niijima, Hanamaki, Fukushima.
- Photon Maiden and Abyssmare are the only units where the members are enrolled in different school years, with Saki being one year behind the rest of her unit members.
- As of their side:origin story, all members are part of Yoba Academy's student council.
- So far, Merm4id and Photon Maiden are the only units whose talk show has received an official English translation from D4DJ's global YouTube channel.
- The current lineup of this unit consists entirely of actresses who play main characters in another Bushiroad franchise, Revue Starlight.
- Photon Maiden is officially recognized as a verified artist on Spotify and YouTube Music.
