Azai Eimi (浅井詠実?) is a secondary character in D4DJ Groovy Mix. She is a second-year student at Fuei High School. She is also a member of A Bad Cynic Doggo.
Profile
Due to her deeply ingrained one-sided inferiority complex, she feels out of place at Yoba Academy, which she sees as a nest of glittering elites, and feels particularly insecure around Aimoto Rinku, who she views as the embodiment of that shine.
While her knowledge of music is just barely average, her impertinent and foul-mouthed nature is on another level. She is skilled at provoking and dissing others, often making things up as she goes along. Her vocabulary consists of wide range of words from academic vocabulary to internet slang, and she is always spouting inappropriate remarks.[1]
Appearance
Eimi has grey eyes and neck-length brownish-black hair with a small ahoge sticking up on her head. She has highlights at the back of her hair and a hair streak in her bangs, both of which are light blonde. Eimi is also slightly tanned and has a cat-like smile with a fang. Her uniform is a white button up with a grey pleated skirt, and is also wearing a plain black choker with knee length black socks connected to straps, and mary jane shoes.
Background
In the past, Eimi used to be a member of the track and field club. However, she eventually quit in junior high as she disliked the pressure of entrusting her feelings to the people who ended up making it to the finals.[2]
Personality
Eimi is socially awkward, but once she's comfortable with someone, she's very snarky and playful. She is very negative and instantly assumes bad things about others, like assuming Rinku wouldn't interact with her due to Rinku being quite famous or blurting out that Shika shouldn't be complimenting her because she thinks of herself as a loser otaku. Eimi is also very insecure and she has a habit of calling herself a loser and a nobody. Date-chan has also mentioned that one shouldn't believe the things Eimi says as "About 120% of the time it is lies, escapism, deception and hiding embarrassment." She is also on her phone often and knows a lot about internet slang.
Etymology
Azai can be split into two parts: Asa (浅) means shallow, short, or superficial, and I (井) refers to a water well.
Eimi can be split into two parts: Ei (詠) refers to reciting poetry, and Mi (実) means reality, or fruit.
Trivia
- She is the same height as Rinku.
