Rolling Kick Combo

The Rolling Kick Combo is one of the Hook Attack Skills used by Sonic the Werehog in the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed. When using this move, Sonic slashes and follows up with a series of wide spinning kicks.

Description

When performing this move, Sonic first stretches out his right arm and makes a vertical slash with his right hand. Following up on this, Sonic launches a wide roundhouse kick with his left leg, where he spins around himself twice. After finishing his kicks, Sonic falls down and balances on both hands where he then swings his legs around himself in a 360 degree spin, similar to a break dance spin, before flipping himself forward onto his feet.

The Rolling Kick Combo is available from the start of the game. To perform the Rolling Kick Combo in gameplay, the player must press / in quick succession. In gameplay, the Rolling Kick Combo's final strikes knocks smaller and medium-sized enemies away from the player.

Trivia

• By using Guard after performing the Rolling Kick Combo (but right before the move ends), Sonic can clip through walls or doors right before the rolling kick part ends, allowing the player to save time and skip various sections of certain nighttime stages. This exploit is not only difficult to perform, but it can also cause various gameplay glitches; most notably, it can cause Sonic to fall through the ground instead and lose a life.
