Kaeo

Kaeo (ケーオ, Kēo^?) is a character that appears in Sonic Unleashed. He is a human resident of Adabat, the son of Teanchai and the brother of Rudi, Nagi and Jamal. He is also the owner of his own shop, the "Flying Fish Beach Shop".

History

Xbox 360/PlayStation 3

In the past, Kaeo spent much of his time working on his hobby which involved making mascots. Over time, Kaeo's hobby evolved and it became a full-time job for him. Eventually, he opened his own shop called "Flying Fish Beach Shop", where he would sell various food or products of his own.

During the events Sonic Unleashed, Kaeo saw Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip arrive in his village and decided to create a mascot version of Sonic. Later on, during Sonic and Chip's battle with Dark Gaia, Kaeo and the rest of his village felt the tremors from Chip calling the local Gaia Temple to him, where Kaeo asked in confusion of what was happening.

Wii/PlayStation 2

In the beginning of Sonic Unleashed, Kaeo and his family's ancestral home was destroyed in the earthquakes created from Dark Gaia's awakening. As such, Kaeo and his family were forced to move to the stilt house village of Adabat.

Later on, during Sonic and Chip's battle with Dark Gaia, Kaeo and the rest of his village felt the tremors from Chip calling the Gaia Temple to him, where Kaeo asked in confusion of what was happening.

Archie Comics

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, Kaeo is a human resident from Adabat. During the Shattered World Crisis, he and his family helped Tails and Bunnie D'Coolette snap his father out of his depression over losing their ancestral home so he could give the heroes his Gaia Key.

Trivia

• Kaeo's name in Thai, "แก้ว", is a common feminine nickname in Thailand, meaning glass, crystal or parrot, and is uncommon to find as a real name.
