King Galam is a main antagonist in Shining Force II. He is first introduced in Galam when he is planning to attack Granseal due to his murdered messenger.
Galam Himself
Galam is the ruler of his kingdom. Sarah has stated that both Granseal and Galam were peaceful allies.
After the disasters, King Galam ordered his men and Lemon to attack Granseal. At first, Galam's portrait is a calm bind king but afterwards his face appears to be an evil devil face. His character model has the 2 jewels which could be Jewel of Light and Jewel of Evil.
Trivia
- Galam is the only character to use a staff.
- He is one of the main villains to be a palette swap of a regular enemy: The King Chess piece.
- Unlike all of the main villains in the game, King Galam was not evil to begin with. He was possessed by the Gizmo and later on Zeon.
- He is the only being that is not willing evil to have access to the spell DemonBreath. This may imply that either his possession at the time you meet him might be Zeon, the Gizmo in the beginning of the game was Zeon in his weakened form, or the Gizmo greatly leveled up quickly and was rewarded the spell from Zeon.
- To make matters worse for Galam, he was never redeemed at all. Once you defeat Zeon, Galam's body was possessed by Zeon and was dragged into the darkness to seal Zeon by Lemon.
