Gerhalt (Geruharuto in Japanese) is a playable male Beastman of the Wolfman class in the game Shining Force II.
Background
Bowie meets Gerhalt in Polca after he speaks with Volcanon. When Bowie returns to Polca with Peter, Prince Luke is being attacked by the enemy and Gerhalt steps up to help out and joins the Shining Force.
Personality
Gerhalt is a truly proud warrior. He is tired of his people being thought of as cowards and joined the Shining Force to become even stronger.
Strategy
He is the successor to Zylo in terms of gameplay. He gains considerable ground outside on certain terrains, and acts as an alternative to any of the centaurs. If trained he can become highly relied on even late game. Pre-promotion his best stat is HP, while the rest of his stats grow fairly balanced. Post promotion his attack stat experiences a strong growth and he has a high HP and defense growth with a decent speed growth. He is easily one of the most well rounded and balance fighters within the Shining Force.
During the early levels (1-10) after promotion his attack growth isn´t too good. Thus, if he falls behind it can be a struggle to make him catch up.
