Donai is the captain of the Naniwa Pirates.[1] He first appears in One Piece: Ocean's Dream!.

Donai gets easily carried away, making him an easy target for Usopp's rubber band technique.
Abilities and Powers
Weapons
Donai uses cutlasses in combat and is quite proficient with them, using it to both deal damage to and block attacks.[1]
Techniques
- Zako Stab (ザコスタッブ, Zakosutabbu?, literally meaning "Small-fry Stab"): Donai slashes downward at his opponent, releasing a shock wave similar to the techniques of Rankyaku.[1]
- Zako Storm (ザコストーム, Zakosutōmu?, literally meaning "Small-fry Storm"): Donai and his subordinates, Nanya and Honma, charge the enemy in a three-wave attack. Honma kicks at the opponent, followed by a shot from Nanya's shotgun. To finish the combination, Donai slashes downward at his opponent, releasing a shock wave similar to the techniques of Rankyaku.[1]
- Zako Juuji (ザコ十字, Zakojūji?, literally meaning "Small-fry Cross"): Donai uses two cutlasses in form of a cross to taunt his enemies.[1]
History
One Piece: Ocean's Dream!
Donai and his crew find the Straw Hat Pirates and in the middle of the ocean. Briefly mentioning having heard from Banzai that Mr. 2 Bon Kurei was travelling with them, Donai promptly challenges the Straw Hats to a fight, which he loses as quickly.[1]
