On March 21, Jiyoon was revealed as a contestant on I-LAND2: N/α, through the “LAW” performance video.[1] Her applicant profile was released on the I-Land X(Twitter) account and the MNet Plus I-Land website on March 22, 2024.[2][3]
I-LAND 2 Overview
Entrance Test
Jiyoon ranked 11th in the pre-show Self-Evaluation. During the entrance test, she performed Drama by aespa with Bang Jeemin, Mai and Choi Jungeun. She got 4/5 Is, and therefore got into I-LAND.
Signal Song
Jiyoon originally got assigned the Main Vocal part, but later got Part 11 for the I-LAND signal song performance. The team average for the FINAL LOVE SONG performance was 84, meaning three I-Landers would be dropped to the Ground. Jiyoon only got one vote, and was therefore moved to the Ground.
Seesaw Game
Jiyoon performed Like Ooh-Ahh by TWICE with Kim Chaeeun, Yuiko, Kim Eunchae, Oh Yuna and Kim Gyuri. The Like Ooh-Ahh team got a team score of 435, and therefore lost the Ground Seesaw battle, meaning Jiyoon stayed in Ground.
