On March 21, Sarang was revealed as a contestant on I-LAND2: N/α, through the “LAW” performance video.[1] Her applicant profile was released on the I-Land X(Twitter) account and the Mnet Plus I-Land website on March 22, 2024.[2][3]
I-LAND 2 Overview
Entrance Test
Sarang ranked 3rd in the pre-show Self-Evaluation. During the entrance test, she performed UNFORGIVEN by LE SSERAFIM with Son Juwon, Kim Minsol and Um Jiwon. She got 5/5 Is, and therefore got into I-LAND.
Signal Song
Sarang got assigned Part 10 for the I-LAND signal song performance. The team average for the FINAL LOVE SONG performance was 84, meaning three I-Landers would be dropped to the Ground, but Sarang got 2 votes, means that she got to stay in I-LAND.
Seesaw Game
Sarang performed Whistle by BLACKPINK with Kim Minsol, Kim Sujung, Nam Yuju, Bang Jeemin and Yui, and got an individual score of 84. The Whistle team lost the I-LAND Seesaw battle, and therefore Sarang was moved to the Ground.
Unit Battle
There were 3 units, vocal dance and creative. Sarang was placed in dance with the members Yui and Oh Yuna performing MIC Drop + Sugarcoat by BTS + Natty (Kiss of life). Her individual score was 89 getting her back to I-LAND.
1:1 Position Battle
A new song is released called IWALY (I will always love you). she is put into Team B of I-LAND with Yui, Yoon Jiyoon, Koko, Lingling, Nam Yuju. Her position is 4 facing Bang Jeemin, the most popular contestant on the show. Shockingly, she performed better making the producer choose her and now she can pass onto part 2 of I-LAND.[1]
