On March 21, Jeemin was revealed as a contestant on I-LAND2: N/α, through the “Pep Rally” performance video.[1] Her applicant profile was released on the I-Land X account and the Mnet Plus I-Land website on March 22, 2024.[2][3]
I-LAND 2 Overview
Entrance Test
Jeemin ranked 4th in the pre-show Self-Evaluation. During the entrance test, she performed Drama by aespa with Yoon Jiyoon, Mai and Choi Jungeun. She got 5/5 Is, and therefore got into I-LAND.
Signal Song
Jeemin got assigned Part 8 for the I-LAND signal song performance. The team average for the FINAL LOVE SONG performance was 84, meaning three I-Landers would be dropped to the Ground, but Jeemin got 6 votes, meanning she got to stay in I-LAND.
Seesaw Game
Jeemin performed Whistle by BLACKPINK with Kim Minsol, Kim Sujung, Nam Yuju, Ryu Sarang and Yui, and got an individual score of 82. The Whistle team lost the I-LAND Seesaw battle, and therefore Jeemin was moved to the Ground.
Unit Battle
Jeemin was part of the Creative Unit, and she performed Rain On Me with Kim Sujung, Nam Yuju, Kim Chaeeun and Kim Gyuri. The Ground Creative Unit got a score of 83, meaning they lost to the I-LAND Unit, but Jeemin got one of the highest individual scores in Ground, and therefore moved up to I-LAND.
