Nana (Hangul: 나나) is a Japanese trainee and contestant on I-LAND2: N/α. She was first revealed on March 21, 2024.
She is also a former contestant on the Japanese LAPONE x Lemino survival show, PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS.
History
2023: PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS
On September 2, 2023, the theme song for Produce 101 Japan The Girls was released, revealing that Nana will participate in the show. Her profile was released the following day. The first episode aired on October 5, 2023. Unfortunately, she was eliminated in the fifth episode with her final rank being 64th.
2024: I-LAND2: N/α
On March 21, Nana was revealed as a contestant on I-LAND2: N/α, through the “DDU-DU DDU-DU (Remix)” performance video.[1] Her applicant profile was released on the I-Land X(Twitter) account and the Mnet Plus I-Land website on March 22, 2024.[2][3]
I-LAND 2 Overview
Entrance Test
Nana ranked 20th in the pre-show Self-Evaluation. During the entrance test, she performed CAKE by ITZY with Kim Eunchae, Yuiko and Choi Soul. She got 0/5 Is, and therefore was moved into to the Ground.
Signal Song
Nana performed the signal song with the other trainees from Ground. The team average for the FINAL LOVE SONG performance was 84, meaning three I-Landers would be dropped to the Ground. Nana was not chosen to go up to I-LAND, and stayed in Ground.
Seesaw Game
Nana performed Bad Boy by Red Velvet with Kang Jiwon, Fuko, Lingling, Park Yeeun and Um Jiwon, and got an individual score of 74. The Bad Boy team got a team score of 459, and therefore won the Ground Seesaw battle, meaning Nana got moved up to I-LAND.
