Fuko (Kanji: 楓子; Hangul: 후코) is a Japanese trainee and contestant on I-LAND2: N/α. She was revealed on March 21, 2024.
She was also a former contestant on the Mnet survival show, Girls Planet 999.
History
2021: Girls Planet 999
Fuko appeared as a contestant on the Mnet survival show Girls Planet 999. She was eliminated with her cell during the fifth episode, with the rank J15.
2024: I-LAND2: N/α
On March 21, Fuko was revealed as a contestant on I-LAND2: N/α, through the “LAW” performance video.[1] Her applicant profile was released on the I-Land X(Twitter) account and the Mnet Plus I-Land website on March 22, 2024.[2][3]
I-LAND 2 Overview
Entrance Test
Fuko ranked 2nd in the pre-show Self-Evaluation. During the entrance test, she performed After LIKE by IVE with Kim Chaeeun, Kang Jiwon, Park Yeeun and Kim Gyuri. She got 5/5 Is, and therefore got into I-LAND.
Signal Song
Fuko got assigned Part 4 for the I-LAND signal song performance. The team average for the FINAL LOVE SONG performance was 84, meaning three I-Landers would be dropped to the Ground. Fuko only got one vote, and was therefore moved to the Ground.
Seesaw Game
Fuko performed Bad Boy by Red Velvet with Kang Jiwon, Nana, Lingling, Park Yeeun and Um Jiwon, and got an individual score of 88. The Bad Boy team got a team score of 459, and therefore won the Ground Seesaw battle, meaning Fuko got moved up to I-LAND.
Unit Battle
Fuko was part of the Vocal Unit, and she performed Fine by TAEYEON with Choi Jungeun. The I-LAND Vocal Unit got a score of 91, meaning they lost to the Ground Unit, but Fuko got one of the highest individual scores in I-LAND, and therefore stayed in I-LAND.
