Warp is an ability in the Fire Emblem series that usually takes the form of a Staff or spell.

Overview

Warp is a magic spell that in most games appears through a dedicated Warp Staff. In games such as Fire Emblem Gaiden and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, it is a spell that some characters are able to learn as they level up. It is a support magic that instantly teleports a target unit to another space on the map of the player's choosing within the spell's area of reach.

Such an ability may potentially offer a huge tactical advantage, as the staff can be used to boost the Movement range of slower ally units, or even transport a competent ally unit to a key part of a map in order to perform a variety of actions, such as that of intercepting a thief. Certain Secret Shops across the series may only be accessed by means of employing the Warp staff, such as that of the one located in Chapter 29E/31H in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.

The Warp staff tends to be both hard to come by and features very limited durability. In Gaiden and its remake, it requires the caster to expend 8HP per casting, while in Three Houses, Warp is only granted one use per battle. it is thus advisable for the player to use it with discretion. Despite its relative rarity, it is acquired early on in some games, most notably when it appears in Lena's inventory in Shadow Dragon and The Blade Of Light and its remake.

In TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga, this staff is also known as the ☆Transport Staff (てんそうの杖 Tensou no tsue), and is locked to Renee.
