Ralf

Ralf is a playable character from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is a traveling mercenary who joins Leif's army to help fight against the Empire.

Profile

Ralf first appears in Chapter 15, where he and the Friege general Amalda work together to fend off bandits threatening a small village. Leif's army arrives on the scene shortly after to assist in the defense, and Leif can speak to Ralf. Ralf, upon learning of Leif's identity, will request to join the army, stating that he cannot stand the Empire's tyranny.

Ralf then goes on to continue supporting Leif in his cause to liberate Northern Thracia from the Grannvale Empire. He retires from his work as a mercenary thereafter, choosing to take up farming to help in Thracia's rebuilding efforts.

Personality

Ralf is portrayed as a person with a strong sense of honor, committed towards fighting against injustice. This is shown right from his introduction in Chapter 15, where he takes up arms to protect a village from an impending bandit invasion of his own volition, expecting no reward in return for his efforts.

Ralf is a decent combatant, coming with solid base stats, weapon ranks, and growth rates. He is a solid contributer on Chapter 18, where he can either put the Armors to sleep with the Sleep sword, or capturing the incoming Rewarp Dark Bishops in the bottom center of the map. Even if he isn't exacty a necessary unit, being overshadowed in a Warp-dominant environment, he still stands out with solid accompolishments to warrant his use.

Ralf - Wandering Sellsword (流れ者の傭兵, Nagare-mono no yōhei)

Taking up farming tools with the same ferocity as he swung a sword, Ralf poured his energy into healing the land. Save for this one detail, no other record of Ralf can be found in historical texts. Having made no effort to preserve a record of his deeds, he is emblematic of the many humble folk who aided in Thracia's restoration, but chose to fade into obscurity...
