The Woman They Called Pirate (海賊と呼ばれ女 Kaizoku to Yobare Onna) is the 104th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero.
After taking a bath at the Spa of Eden, Elsie discusses with the Edens Zero Crew of Ziggy's resurrection and what they will do after.
Summary
Inside the Spa of Eden, Elsie Crimson relaxes in the bath alongside Rebecca and Homura albeit the latter is still struggling with the high heat. Elsie remarks that she is glad to be back there though Rebecca questions why the two of them need to be there with her. Elsie tells them that she believes naked bonding is the best way to build friendship. Homura stands and requests a duel from Elsie which the space pirate readily accepts, shocking Rebecca since both of them are still naked and in the bath. Homura activates her Soul Blade but hesitates as Elsie continues to lie back without putting up a guard. Elsie invites her to attack since it isn't necessary to wait on her in a duel, so Homura presses the attack by swinging her blade down with both hands but Elsie effortlessly catches the Ether sword between her toes to the shock of both Homura and Rebecca. Struggling to free her sword from Elsie's grip, Homura is suddenly sent flying away head over heels as Elsie casually moves her leg to the side. By the time Homura catches her bearings and raises her head, Elsie has grabbed her sword and is standing over her triumphantly forcing Homura to concede the duel. Elsie asks Rebecca if she'd like to duel as well but Rebecca swiftly declines.
They leave the bath together with Elsie being satisfied and they run into Shiki who is sitting in the changing room, waiting for them. He demands that Elsie tell him about his grandfather now. The crew and Elsie, with a couple of her subordinates, gather together in the meeting room of the Edens Zero. The Four Shining Stars greet Elsie with familiarity since they were friends with her as a child when she was picked up by Ziggy. Elsie recounts her story to Shiki by explaining how she was a war refugee and an orphan who was made a member of their family and that she even saw Shiki when he was a baby aboard the Edens Zero while shamelessly admitting that she used to change his diapers. She explains that Ziggy eventually entrusted the Edens Zero to her and to one day give to Shiki. Her subordinates explain further as Elsie had free reign of the Edens Zero, with Witch going into sleep mode, that she eventually ran out of provisions and resorted to piracy to steal more. Elsie proudly acknowledges this as she eventually acquired an enormous fleet of her own before ending off the story by noting how she met Shiki some ten years later and fulfilled her promise to Ziggy.
Weisz is confused as to what happened to the space pod that Ziggy used to get to Granbell, since if they had that space pod then the residents of Granbell could have sent Shiki off in that. Elsie speculates that the space pod was used by Pino to leave Granbell after Ziggy built her, but since Pino's memories are damaged she cannot confirm it. Pino is confused but Sister Ivry assures her that one day they will fix her memories. Elsie guides the story back to Ziggy; where she explains that after she fulfilled her promise she went to Ziggy's grave to tell him, but she discovered traces of an unfamiliar dark, evil Ether emanating from him. She deployed a small Fairy Drone to watch over his remains which is how she was able to show up at the right time to save the Edens Zero from the Edens One. The last piece of information she gives that crew is that Ziggy is clearly different from the man he used to be before and that his first words after awakening were "I will go see Mother." Elsie departs, telling them that she is going after Ziggy. Shiki reflects on her words and announces to the crew that they're also going to take part in stopping him, though their true goal as before is to go and find Mother. The rest of the crew get pumped up and excited while Jinn and Kleene Rutherford eavesdrop from the side and listen in. The ship then travels to Dragonfall which they must break through in order to reach outer space.
