A zone (領域 ryōiki) is any of the game's areas where cards are placed.
Zones are divided into public zones (公開領域 kōkai ryōiki) and hidden zones (非公開領域 hikōkai ryōiki). Players can see the front and back faces of all cards in public zones, while cards in hidden zones either cannot be looked at or can only be looked at by certain players.
The public zones are:
- The LRIG Zone
- The SIGNI Zone
- The Cheer Zone
- The Ener Zone
- The Check Zone
- The Trash
- The LRIG Trash
- Excluded from the game
The hidden zones are:
- The deck (cannot be seen by either player)
- Life Cloth (cannot be seen by either player)
- The LRIG deck (can only be seen by its owner)
- The hand (can only be seen by its owner)
If a card was placed from a hidden zone into a public zone face down (such as if it was placed as a Trap or Seed), then its front side cannot be seen except by players allowed to look at that card by the rules or by other effects (for example, the player who placed a Trap or Seed can look at its front face at any time due to being allowed to do so by the rules for Traps and Seeds).
