History
After development of second generation ATGM, the MILAN were mounted on M201 in 1975. These were mounted on the same jeeps that had mounted M40 and earlier ATGM.
The Alpine infantry formations has a Anti-tank platoon of 8 MILAN mounted on Jeeps. Airborne Infantry formations has two Anti-tank Platoons.
Seven infantry formations has two Anti-tank Platoons. Five of these formations were school units which in wartime to reinforce active formations.
The Airmobile infantry regiment has three compagnies d'éclairage et de combat antichars each having a anti-tank platoon with 15 MILAN.
Escadron d’éclairage divisionnaire the divisional Recon Squadron has a three scout platoons each having three MILAN mounted on Jeeps.
