Description

The Morpher is a late-game enemy that makes its debut on Wave 49 in Expert Mode during the Timeline Divergence event. It can turn into, or 'morph' into, different enemies when killed. It has average speed, and has 8,000 health.

Morpher is replaced by the Morpher X in Expert Mode when the 'Ranked Up' attribute is applied.

Morpher was removed from Expert Mode because wave structure got changed, however eventually it was readded back as the wave structure later came back to 50 waves.

"A discarded design initially considered in the war, but canned as a result of excess energy"

Appearance

Morpher appears to be a mechanically engineered enemy with black translucent skin that has no facial features. Two rods are seen pointing out of its back angled in an upwards direction. It is primarily encased in durable metal armor excluding the legs, at the center of the chest is a yellow diamond shape. The arms of the armor have two yellow bands for each of them. Black straps are wrapped up at both sides of the frontal chest area as well.

Tactics

• Due to the Morpher's decently high health pool, 4-2 Electricizers, 4-2 Snipers, and 4-2 Elites should be used.
• 4-2 Snipers and 4-2 Elites can also help with the Apparitions if the Morphers spawn any.

Trivia

• This is the first enemy that can summon enemies from different gamemodes.
• The enemy was removed due to the shift in direction Expert Mode was going through during the making of the Blissful Revelations update.
  • It was re-added as part of restructuring of Wave 49 in Expert Mode.
• Morpher is first enemy that was added to the game, removed, added again and again removed.
  • And get added yet again, surprisingly.
