Modifiers


Modifers (also previously known as Attributes) are an aspect to the game that changes the gameplay or makes the game harder or easier in some ways but gives a higher reward in tokens and EXP if you win a game. There are currently 17 and 1 removed unique modifiers to the game that modify the gamemode ranging from Normal to Expert. When you enter a map with modifiers, the game used to notify you about what modifiers you're using before starting a match, however this no longer happens.

Here is the list of Modifiers that are currently in the game.


Evolution
Every enemy has their health increased by 20% after their debut.
Effect
Enemies HP increase by 20% each wave after their debut.

All Flying
Every single enemy is now immune to traditional weaponry, and requires flying detection to attack. You'll miss your Mounted Miniguns.

All enemies will require flying detection to be attacked.

Hardcore
You cannot afford to lose any lives in this fight. Can you survive the early-game?
Effect
Reduces base health to a value of one.

Locked In
Towers cannot be sold after they're placed. Your tower placement decisions matter now.

Apocalypse
The enemies now can ignore the time inbetween each wave. Can you survive their constant onslaught?
Effect
After all enemies have spawned, the wave skips immediately. Waves however cannot be skipped manually.

You now have an unlimited amount of base health. Practice makes perfection.

Gives nine billion base health.

Hellspeed
Enemies go twice as fast, good luck trying to keep up!

Mysterious units have appeared across the land. What will you find? Effect
Any kind of enemy gets randomized into a different type based on the health scale of set enemy. Randomized enemies can range from regular gamemodes to older, joke or scrapped variations with some being excluded from the modifier, such as admin enemies and Cold Construct enemies.

Ranked Up
Each enemy has been ranked up to their strongest variation. What will you do to sustain victory?
Effect
Enemies are replaced by stronger variants. Expert Mode enemies are replaced by unique Ranked-Up enemies.

You can only place 1 of each tower, good luck beating expert
Effect
You can only place 1 type of each tower.

Switchgate
Every 4 waves you'll alternate between red and blue towers. You cannot interact the other color's towers.
Effect
Every 4 waves, you alternate colors between red and blue shown on left side of the wave counter, you cannot interact with the towers of the opposite colors. Due to a bug, Switchgate is broken, giving inability to interact with past towers even in their proper team.

Divinity
Enemies get immunities to everything. All that for 1 damage.
Effect
Enemies receive several resistances, that being bullet, plasma, electric and explosion resistance whilst also fire immunity.

Damage Overflow
Every enemy gets a damage cap. You'll miss your electricizers.
Effect
Every enemy gets a damage cap which lowers every wave.

Fundless
Cash per wave is cut in half.
Effect
Halves received cash from damaging enemies and due to a bug, reduces wave bonus cash by quart instead. Economic Towers are not affected.

The enemies now have been granted punishing health and speed boosts. Can you survive the the worst of the worst?
Effect
Health and speed of enemies are increased by 30%.

Each enemy is incredibly punishing and every mistake will inevitably pin you down. You will not win.

Health and speed of enemies are increased by 70%.

Effect
Thunderbolts occasionally strikes towers which stuns other nearby towers in its radius, reduces their firerate and range or kill all summoned units.

Some towers freeze occasionally, and to unfreeze them, click on them a few times. Starry Night plays instead of the regular in game music.

Halloween (formerly Trick or Treat?)
Trick or treat?
Effect
All humanoid-type enemies get their head replaced with a Jack O' Lantern with an addition of producing sinister laughter sound on enemy death.

Beating any gamemode with the modifier rewards 1 John Pork, though token and EXP rewards are unaffected.

Trivia

  • Modifiers were added in the Beta Part 1 update.
  • In the All Flying Modifier description, it still mentions Mounted Minigun despite being removed and replaced by Vulcan.
  • Formerly, the icon/image for all the Modifiers had a gear icon with a colored background. (see 'Armored' Modifier)
  • Prior to the Blissful Revelations update, you could only enable 3 modifiers at once.
  • A bug with the Fundless modifier makes it apply twice, making the cash gain get cut by a quarter instead of half.
  • Impossible and True Army speeds up the starting arrows that appears right before Wave 1 starts on any gamemodes, despite not being an enemy.
  • Some enemies do not spawn in the Enemy Randomizer modifier. Some of these include Chronos, the Grand Eye of the Seer, the True Vanguard, the Pure Champion, all enemies with only 1 HP (such as the Bobo Tower) and all enemies from Cold Construct 2022 Event (excluding The Archangel).
  • As of Patch 4/11/23 Divinity was fixed and now when you hover over enemies you can see that they have all the resistances.
  • In the same patch Expert wave bonus income was also fixed reducing the amount you get essentially making Expert+ much harder.
  • Speed-related Modifiers can amplify enemy movement to a maximum capacity of 100%, being of a double velocity.
    • Combining Hellspeed to Impossible + True Army grants no changes to increased speed as it still caps at +100%, essentially giving +0.1x more rewards without any additional consequences.
