Psi-Confuse

Psi-Confuse (サイコ・スタン, Saiko Sutan^?, lit. "Psycho Stun")^[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is POW move used by Overmind Ligaia, in which Ligaia attacks with psychokinetic abilities.

Description

When performing Psi-Confuse, Ligaia flies up to its opponent and shoots yellow psychokinetic energy rings while doing a spin. Afterwards, it retreats to its spot.

In gameplay, Psi-Confuse deals attack damage to a single target. When dealing damage, Psi-Confuse is guaranteed to inflict Stunned on the target.^[1]

Real-Time Interaction

When Psi-Confuse is performed in gameplay, the player has to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to evade Psi-Confuse optimally. If done correctly, the attack will be nullified:

1. The player has to touch the inside of seven circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles.
2. The player has to tap an inner circle that appears eight times, before the outer circle overlaps the inner circle.

Missing or not touching these circles correctly will increase the chances of the attack connecting.
