Blast is a battle effect that appears in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. It allows attacks from a character to damage opponents next to their target.

Overview

Blast is an additional effect to certain attacks in Sonic Chronicles. It can be inflicted on both playable characters and enemies by using certain attacks with the Blast effect, such as POW moves or regular attacks for certain characters.

When using Blast attacks, the user targets a single target. If the Blast attack successfully hits the target, the target takes the full damage of the strike. If there are more foes standing next to the target on the opposing the side of the battlefield when the Blast Attack successfully hit, however, they will receive half the damage that the primary target receives. However, if the target has a defeated enemy between them and another foe, then the other foe will not be affected by Blast attacks.
