Mid-Air Dash Glide

The Mid-Air Dash Glide (ダッシュ滑空飛行 Dasshu Kakkuu Hikou?)[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by Knuckles the Echidna where he glides head-first, and a variation of the Mid-Air Glide.

Description

When performing the Mid-Air Dash Glide, Knuckles performs an offensive, yet short, dash through the air by charging forward head-first. When executed, Knuckles creates a yellow ripple from his front. Also, once he lands, the move will transition into a Spin.

In gameplay, the Mid-Air Dash Glide can only be used when Knuckles has Sonic the Hedgehog as his partner. When used, this moves allows Knuckles to perform a small dash in midair that can damage enemies. While the attack looses height fast, thus causing Knuckles to quickly drop to the ground, Knuckles will begin using the Spin once he hits the ground, allowing him to continue his attack. To perform the Mid-Air Dash Glide in gameplay, the player must press A during a jump.[1]
