Gastiga (ガスティガ Gasutiga?) is an item that appears in Sonic and the Black Knight. It is an unlockable weapon that can be equipped to and wielded by Sir Lancelot.

Description

Gastiga is a slender double-edged sword with a wide blade. It has a straight and thin grayish white grip with a pointy bottom, and a detailed grayish white cross-guard whose bars resembles wings spreading out. Embedded in the recess on the top of its guard, Gastiga has a golden orb with a thin figure forged into it. The blade of Gastiga is silver with the edges beginning slightly above the guard and curving smoothly in on each other at the tip of the blade, and its fuller is thin and black.

Etymology

Gastiga appears to derive from the Italian word "gastigare" which translates to "chastise" in English. To chastise means "to punish, as for wrongdoing."[2]
