Curtana

Curtana (クルタナ, Kurutana^?) is an item that appears in Sonic and the Black Knight. It is an unlockable weapon that can be equipped to and wielded by Sir Percival.

Description

Curtana closely resembles a rapier with a golden coloration. It has a slightly inward-curving grip with a rounded sword pummel, and a cup hilt resembling a stereotypical bell with decorative lines along the bead line. It also has decorative metal pieces, resembling curving cloth, running down each side and slightly below the cup hilt. The blade itself curves slightly inward at the edges and is pointy at the end.

Etymology

Curtana is a ceremonial sword used for the coronation of the British monarchs. The sword is one of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom, fitting with its appearance and in-game description of being "fancy" and "golden."
