Elena and the Secret of Avalor
In the prologue of Elena and the Secret of Avalor, Elena shows Naomi Shuriki's broken wand and tells her the story of how Sofia freed Elena from the Amulet of Avalor and helped her reclaim Avalor from the sorceress.
In the ending of the special, after hearing the story, Naomi and Elena decide to lock Shuriki's wand in the treasury where it will be safe, with them being the only ones who know where it is so the rest of Avalor never have to know what happened to it.
Elena of Avalor
Naomi serves on Elena's Grand Council, and though she and Elena have some arguments over the course of the series, they remain the best of friends, especially with Naomi's parents serving as members of the Avalor naval fleet.
Naomi stays with Elena during most of their time in Avalor City, even when Elena and Naomi discover that Shuriki is still alive and allied with Fiero and the Delagdos. She then takes the Royal Family for summer vacation in Nueva Vista, where Elena manages to defeat Shuriki once and for all, while Naomi helps Mateo petrify Fiero again, while the Delgados escape with their Jaquin allies.
Naomi continues to serve under Elena, including after learning the real truth of Esteban's actions during Shuriki's original takeover of Avalor. Infuriated by his treason from over 40 years ago that led to the deaths of Elena and Isabel's parents, Naomi votes with Luisa and Elena to have him stripped of his position as Chancellor and banished from Avalor for the rest of his life while Francisco was willing to forgive him, causing him to turn to Ash Delgado for support and become a villain, especially after being disowned by Elena and kicked out of the Avalor Royal Family for having aided Shuriki in her original takeover.
Naomi later is allowed to leave Avalor with a ship of her own to travel the seas with Elena's approval, but when she discovers Ash and Esteban forming a new team of villains with powerful evil magic users, and sees a reward out for catching one of them, she returns home to Avalor to warn Elena. When Naomi then goes after one of Ash's new allies for the reward money and ruins a trap Elena had set up, Elena ends up breaking her arm in the process. After scolding Naomi for putting her own needs above those of Avalor, Elena and Naomi make amends, catch the threat to Vallaestrella, and upon returning to Avalor, Naomi decides to stay, and Elena welcomes her back with open arms.
Naomi later recovers all her stuff she left behind before helping Elena when it is decided to have Mateo train the best of the Royal Guards to use magic as a means to counter Ash and Esteban when they return, but when Mateo needs a special ingredient to build more tamberitias, Naomi journeys with Elena to recover it. They return with the ingredient in hand just after Mateo helped Gabe and the Royal Guards fix a mistake they caused while Elena and Naomi were out of Avalor before they could see it themselves and it raised their suspicions over what happened while they were away.
At the end of the series, in the finale "Coronation Day", Naomi is helping celebrate Elena having come of age to officially become Queen when Elena is summoned to defend Nueva Vista and Coronado from Ash and Esteban. Naomi joins her in protecting Nueva Vista and Coronado. Though they defeat all of Ash and Esteban's allies, Elena is pulled into the Spirit World with Ash, while Naomi is forced to flee back to Avalor to join in the defense under Isabel's leadership as Crown Princess. When Elena returns, Naomi and Isabel take her back to Avalor City to protect it, but when Gabe and Mateo are turned into a stone tablet by Cahu the Time Shade, Elena orders Naomi to take Isabel and flee before the same fate befalls them while she and Skylar distract Cahu. Thanks to Elena keeping Cahu busy, Naomi and Isabel manage to safely escape. Naomi and Isabel are later relieved when Gabe and Mateo are restored, unharmed, to their flesh and blood selves when Elena's magic undoes the Shades' damage to Avalor. Naomi then attends Elena's coronation, where Elena names Naomi her new Chancellor. With the support and blessing from Esteban and Dona Paloma, Naomi accepts her new position, then joins in the celebratory dance afterwards.
