Gumi joins the server! She’s quite overwhelmed by all the voices and goes to quiet spots around spawn multiple times for breaks.

She has some chats with friends, such as Sneegsnag, Seapeekay, Aimsey, Badboyhalo and Shubble. Eventually, a video plays; It's The Eye “welcoming” them, telling them the name of the first event occurring the next day, “Egg Wars”^{[Note 1]}

They are all told to head over to the “stage” so she goes and finds a seat next to Shubble, among the other new players. It's very loud with all the people talking, so she is a bit overstimulated^[1]. ElQuackity gives an announcement: He welcomes everyone, tells them all to follow the rules and wishes them good luck.

Teams are being announced and they are temporarily teleported into cages. Gumi is on Team Squirrel with Pac, Shubble, Febatista and Jvnq! Right before Team Squirrel is announced, she states:

“Aw man, I don’t wanna be a squirrel. I wanna be a dog or something.”

So, when she’s teleported into the cage she screams “NOOOO!”, before getting excited to see that Shubble is on her team. ^[2]

She is teleported outside and finds her team. There is another video from The Eye that plays and he explains the first game, “Egg Wars”. Gumi is very upset about finding out that they will be receiving an egg that may be “killed” by the other teams.

Everyone heads off in their own directions and Pac explains to the team about different aspects of purgatory like the tasks and contracts. She and her team move away from people, collect materials and follow Pac as he leads them to Team Soulfire’s old base from the first Purgatory event on the Island. A disaster occurs and they have permanent dehydration.

Pac finds the base, it's mostly empty, save for a few comfy chairs they take and set up along the beach to use for fishing. They hangout for a bit outside the old base area, collecting resources for themselves and for the tasks, like iron, sand, fish and terracotta. They all get full iron armor. Pac thinks its not safe to stay around the old base, due to the risk of other old members of Soulfire knowing it’s location, such as Tubbo and Badboyhalo, so the team agree to continue traveling along the shore. ElQuackity joins their groupcall to check-in, asking them how they feel about the abilities of their team, and they all agree that they feel very confident.

They find a large cave in the side of a hill/mountain by the shore and decide it would make a good home, so the team sets up their base, mine for resources, explore the caves and start a small farm. Pac tells Gumi that his chat suggested a team name- "Esquiletes"^{[Translation 1]}. Gumi, along with Shubble and JV, like this name a lot.

Gumi goes with Pac and Jeivi in boats, they explore the snowy biome and find a merchant npc! Gumi and Pac teleport using a red sharestone next to the merchant to a place titled “Acacia Shop”. Soon after they arrive, Pac and Gumi go into a cave- Gumi says a phrase in Japanese that she was teaching her voices: “Please don't kill me”, Pac finds it really cool that she knows Japanese. They find a closed portal and realize they are at the old Bolas Team spawn, there are random fires everywhere, and the land is grey. Gumi mentions how she remembers Jaiden was on Bolas, and tells Pac that Jaiden, Foolish, Bad and Tina are her friends. Pac tells her about how helpful Tina was as a teammate.^[3]

Eventually it turns into night and Jeivi finds them and leads Gumi and Pac back to the base. Gumi brought back a sheep and it turned into a Ram- She thinks it's very cute. Gumi and Shubble decide go mining for diamonds together. Gumi found her first diamond! Along with a flutter mob and a cockroach, both of which she takes as pets and shows Shubble. Gumi caught a Rhino(Tusklin) in the cave. They might unleash it on other teams. She also caught a whale. She caught some seals, among other animals, and put them in some water in the base.

Gumi and Pac set off in a boat to see the merchant again at the old Bolas base to buy gas masks for the rest of the team. Gumi has one hour left on the server for the day. She has hopped out of the boat multiple times to collect mobs along the way and she surprises Pac by placing down an Orca- she calls it a Pokémon that can fight for her. They make it to the merchant and both Gumi and Pac buy bings^{[Note 2]} with gold ingots and then Pac uses his bings to buy masks. Gumi has given all her bings to her leader, and Pac decides to keep the extra bings for later use. Gumi enjoys summoning her orca Pokémon, she says “I'm going to drop them all(her caged mobs) in an enemy base.”.

Gumi and Pac arrive back at their team base and Gumi immediately shows Febatista her new mobs, sounding very happy and proud. She switches out her caged mobs in a chest for empty cages to collect more later. She has collected four rainbow/comb jellies from the ocean outside their base, killed one of them and discovers rainbow jelly. She gives the jelly to Shubble and tells her to eat it, and after consumption, Shubble is rainbow! Delighted by this discovery, Gumi sets off to collect more jellies. Gumi, upon realizing the requirement for removing the rainbow effect, is very nervous and denies accountability, saying, “I didn’t do nothin’!” while Shubble slowly comes to the realization of her possibly permanent multi-colored fate.

Gumi drops a whale on the beach and tries to kill it, but gets too close and it ends up being the cause of her first death on the server, and the first death of the team! The whole team is distraught by this, but she quickly sets off back to the base- thanks to her checkpoint, she knows exactly where to go. She does, however, say: “I deserved it(dying to the whale).” in a joking manner. The team agree that they have been capturing whales the entire time they’ve been on the server, so maybe the murder was justified a little. Gumi just wanted its teeth...oh well. Pac finds Gumi’s body and decides to get justice for his teammate and kill the whale!....It kills him first. Whale - 2, Esquiletes - 0. Gumi finds the situation hilarious.

Gumi has a scary experience while returning to the base, she is chased by mobs while slowed down from running out of food, and with nothing to protect herself with, she has no choice except to quickly get in a boat on the shore- she gets away just in time!

“I'm gonna go kill a whale, the smart way this time.”

- Gumi, after having just returned to their base 1k blocks away because she was murdered by a whale that she tried to kill.

Gumi captures another whale and puts it in a small cave in the base to suffocate it. She says: "I'm getting payback.”. She tells JV, “It’s like watching Tv.” as she watches the whale slowly die. JV is horrified by the display. Gumi says it’s “Natural selection.”.

She has captured a ghost- they do exist! It’s named “Haunter”, just like the Pokémon, how ironic. The team realize the day is at it’s end, and agree that they’ve been productive and will have more time to get things done tomorrow. JV and Gumi joke that they were disappointed with the team they were placed on, and Gumi admits she “didn’t want to be a squirrel”. The team shares shocked gasps, but Pac assures her that she makes a good Esquiletes.

Gumi rushes to collect sand for the contracts with 5 minutes left on her timer. The team is kicked one-by-one as their timers run out, and after putting all her sand into the furnaces to smelt, her timer runs out and she is kicked for the day as well, but not before telling Febatista: “I don’t feel so good.”^{[Note 3]}
