CPV2 (also known as Code Shield) is an extremely powerful shield from the custom mod QCodeSword. Little to no information is known about the creation or origins of this shield, and it is a unique item.
History
August 8, 2023
Etoiles was exploring when without notice he catches sight of the Binary Entity acting unusual, this time it did not display an aggressive temperament, instead it appeared as though it was beckoning him. The Binary Entity called Etoiles near the ocean, where a structure made of basalt was found. Confusedly, Etoiles follows the Binary Entity – there, he finds a waystone which he teleports.
After teleporting, Etoiles finds himself infront of a Nether Portal, in which he enters. Once Etoiles had entered the Nether, the Binary Entity left behind a paper with contents that appeared to be an old shield and co-ordinates. His screen fades to black before getting kicked from the server with the message "The Nether Awaits".
August 18, 2023
Etoiles joins the server, ready to explore the Nether. After several minutes of travelling, he ends up finding an abandoned base of The Federation camouflaged into the environment. Using a card that he previously acquired in his adventure, he was able to enter a strange room where a white shulker box awaited him, with a Nether Portal.
Inside the shulker box, he finds a blurred image of a shield and a book called CPV1. Etoiles decides to take the white shulker box with him. When he breaks it, what he finds is surprising. An iron block under the shulker that was not protected with the mod Security Craft. Etoiles digs below the iron block and discovers the shield, CPV2.
Etoiles exits the Nether, only to be greeted by another strange sight. the Binary Entity was waiting for him on the other side in order to steal the shield. They have an altercation, the battle ending in Etoile's favour, and him keeping the prized shield.
Abilities
CPV2 is a very special shield, that has a lot of unique mechanics, including:
- Its inability to lose durability, effectively making the shield unbreakable.
- Immunity to the effects of the Binary Entity's sword.
- Greatly reducing the damage the user takes.
- Protecting the user from knockback.
- It being a passive shield (You are able use other items with the shield in the offhand).
