Phoebe is a new character introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Character Summary
A corporal in the Ptolemaic Army, Phoebe is a skilled combat pilot who was transferred to the development division to help Caroline and Towa test new machines by Dragunov. She wears a suit similar to Towa's and is the designated pilot of the "D-001 Tanbal", Caroline and Towa's latest weapon. The D-001 Tanbal is much larger than the mech Towa uses, being armed with a gatling gun and a refillable rocket arm which can be deployed to decimate unfortunate enemies.
Though skilled as both a combat pilot and mechanic, she is unable to differentiate between a joke and an actual order, though it appears that she starts to slowly understand after working with Caroline and Towa.
Story
Extra Ops
First appearing in "United Front the 16th", Phoebe is the only applicant to pass Caroline's test to operate the D-001 Tanbal. She properly introduces herself to the two young mechanics and is given a half-joke by Caroline to test their machine in an actual fight. She complies with the order (much to everyone's surprise) and runs off to attack a nearby Martian base, activating a United Front operation against them.
She returns to base victorious and with data on the mission to Caroline, before giving her United Coins to her superior. As Caroline goes off to purchase items, Towa asks Phoebe to take everything not too seriously, though Phoebe insists she can accomplish anything and also addresses Caroline as a lady, much to Towa's surprise.
Phoebe later accompanies Caroline and Towa for a test run of the "D-GU" clay weapon. When D-GU attacks Caroline, Phoebe almost intervenes but is convinced by Towa not to. After Caroline drives the Regular Army away, D-GU drags Caroline deeper into the ruins, prompting Phoebe to chase after her superior.
Following Caroline's successful taming of the D-GU, Phoebe later leads the Ptolemaic Army in a Try Line mission against the Flying Hermit.
