Menzel (code named M.D.P.S-Mz 3) is a new character introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Character Summary
A soldier who fights by unleashing a variety of attacks from her artificial arm. She belongs to a special agent unit. She was once an average soldier, but she lost her right army and a friend in a battle with the Rebel Army. After escaping death, she volunteered to be a test subject for an artificial arm weapon.
Story
Extra Ops
First appearing in "Theory of Evolution", a Regular Army helicopter is transporting Menzel just as Mello shows up out of nowhere. Mello barely manages to convince Menzel that she is her ally. The helicopter passes through an island where Menzel notes the Huge Locusts here are different from the others, and the pilot tells them that he'll be helpless if they attack. Menzel grabs Mello's arm and jumps off the helicopter into the ocean below to combat the potential threat.
During the battle they also encounter a special Huge Hermit and cause it to retreat. Mello is aware of these strains, having encountered them in the future, but is surprised to see them in the present time. Mello tells Menzel that she will help her in the investigation, but she refuses her aid as she is not part of the Regular Army. This prompts Mello to state that Marco "wouldn't care", which in turn causes Menzel to question her into how she knows him. Before she could do so however, Mello runs off to fight more mutated creatures.
Trivia
- She bears a resemblance to Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist.
