Biography

Early life

Pim lived in the Pride Lands.[1]

Bond with Bunga

2016-06-07-04 01 20

The Lion Guard rescued Pim from a thorn patch. Shortly afterward, Pim began to rub a snake skin on himself. However, he was eaten by Ushari. Bunga promptly forced the snake to spit Pim out, which made Pim hug Bunga in gratitude. Before long, Pim ran off because of Bunga's stench.

Later, Pim was sitting in a tree. Ono tried to convince him to leave, as Kion was preparing to use the Roar of the Elders on the area, but Pim ignored the warning. Bunga attempted to use his scent to scare off Pim, but because of the mint leaves he had been using, Pim was no longer bothered by the honey badger's smell. As a result, Bunga grabbed Pim and carried him to safety. Pim climbed gratefully onto Bunga's back while the Lion Guard laughed.[1]

Encounter with Simba

Pim bowed to Simba as he passed.[2]

Kupatana

2016-06-30-18 30 08

Pim gathered grubs, only for Dogo's brothers to steal his stash.

Later, Pim attended the Kupatana celebration. During the event, the jackals attacked, and the Pride Landers scattered in fear. Pim fled from Reirei, who managed to catch up to him and seize him in her jaws. However, Kion batted her away, freeing Pim.[3]

Chased by Mtoto

Mtoto and his friends, Gumba, Kambuni, Kwato, and Shauku, pretended to be the Lion Guard. During the game, they chased Pim and several other hyraxes. Pim and the others managed to escape by hiding in a pile of rocks.[4]

Tamaa's tricks

Tamaa stole food from Pim by pretending to be Janja.[5]

Stampede

Pim and several hyraxes were asleep in the path of a stampede. Bunga and Fuli managed to divert the herd away from the slumbering hyraxes.[6]

Hippo lanes

Beshte helped Pim and several other hyraxes cross the Flood Plains by using the hippo lanes.[7]

Attacked by Mpishi

2017-08-02-05 22 59

Mpishi the harrier hawk entered the Pride Lands, despite the law that hawks were not supposed to hunt in the kingdom. The Lion Guard spotted her and resolved to stop her from harming any of the Pride Landers. Mpishi managed to catch Pim and carry him away in her talons. Ono chased after her and caused her to drop Pim by biting her tail feathers. Ono tried to save Pim from falling, but the hyrax was too heavy to carry. Just in time, Beshte approached beneath them and caught them. Pim hugged Ono, then bounded away.[8]

New water source

Kion saved Pim and several other hyraxes when they were trapped in rocks. Later, Kion and Fuli escorted the hyraxes to a watering hole.[9]

Conflict with Kenge

Pim and several other hyraxes were frightened away by Kenge.[10]

Kumbuka

Pim attended the Kumbuka celebration.[11]

Unstable bridge

Pim crosses bridge

Ono spotted Pim and several other hyraxes crossing an unstable bridge. Kion ordered Ono to warn the hyraxes of the danger, and he did so, convincing them to leave the bridge. However, since the hyraxes were still thirsty and needed to cross the divide, Beshte decided to make a bridge. He grabbed a nearby rock and placed it on his back, then stood in the chasm so that the hyraxes could march across his makeshift bridge to the other side.[12]

Dust devil

Pim was fighting with a hyrax over a fruit until they were picked up by a dust devil. Beshte and Bunga caught them, and Ono returned their fruit to them.[13]

Home destroyed

Shujaa accidentally destroyed Pim's home. However, Beshte found him a new home.[14]

Dhahabu's visit

From atop Beshte's back, Pim watched the arrival of Dhahabu and her herd.[15]

Dam break

After Kion's Roar of the Elders destroyed the Great Stone Wall, water began gushing onto the plains. The Lion Guard spotted Pim and several hyraxes in the path of the waters and resolved to rescue them. Eventually, the Lion Guard managed to plug up the dam and move the nearby animals to safety.[16]

Physical appearance

Pim is a small and slightly chubby hyrax. He has light brown fur, with a cream chest and tan eye rims. While his inner ears are dark brown, his ear rims are cream. He has brown paws, a black nose, and large black eyes with yellow sclerae.[1]

Personality and traits

Pim is skittish and easily frightened, especially in the presence of predators. He is grateful to those who help him and is particularly fond of Bunga.[1]

Appearances

Trivia

  • Pim's name is similar to the Swahili word "pimbi," which means "hyrax."[18]
