Nyeusi is the stealthiest skink. Rafiki will never see him.
Shupavu[src]

Nyeusi is a male skink. He is a member of Shupavu's group.

Nyeusi and his fellow skinks joined forces with Ushari the cobra to help resurrect the spirit of Scar. Through the spying efforts of the skinks, it was discovered that an evil Lion of the Past could be summoned in the volcano by a bakora staff and the Roar of the Elders. Following Scar's rise to power, the skinks served as his spies and minions. Eventually, the Pride Landers invaded the Outlands, destroyed Scar, and defeated his army.

Biography

Early life

Nyeusi lived in the Outlands as a member of Shupavu's group.[1]

Scar's resurrection

2017-08-04-01 24 24

Ushari requested that one of Shupavu's skinks follow Rafiki and his apprentice, Makini, in order to find out if there was a way to speak to the evil Lions of the Past. Shupavu tasked Nyeusi with the job, as he was her "stealthiest" skink. Nyeusi followed the two mandrills into the Lair of the Lion Guard, where Ushari took over the task and thanked him and Shupavu for their assistance. Nyeusi then departed with Shupavu.

Later, Nyeusi spied on Kiara and Makini from a tree.[1]

Army of Scar

Defeat in the volcano

Nyeusi attempted to take down the Lion Guard along with the rest of the Army of Scar. He was defeated when Kion used the Roar of the Elders to clear a path out of the volcano.[2]

Attack on Kinyonga

In the volcano, Shupavu noticed Kinyonga's shadow on the wall and alerted Scar to the intruder's presence. Ushari ordered the skinks to pursue her, and Kinyonga raced away, with Shupavu and her minions hot on her tail. Nyeusi and the other skinks eventually cornered Kinyonga, but the Lion Guard arrived to fend them off. The skinks retreated.[3]

Battle for the Pride Lands

Nyeusi and Nyata spied on Janja's clan in Kilio Valley and observed Janja pondering whether he was on the wrong side. Later, during the final battle, Nyeusi and the other skinks got tossed aside by the Lion Guard on their way to the volcano.[4]

Physical appearance

Nyeusi is a slender and long-bodied skink. His scales are charcoal-gray. He has several pale gray patches on his back, neck, and face, deep purple legs that taper to red claws, and a deep purple underbelly. His eyes are black with pale green sclerae.[1]

Personality and traits

Nyeusi takes orders well. He is silent and swift on his feet, which earned him the title of the "stealthiest skink" in his group.[1]
