Mauthe Doog

The Mauthe Doog is an enemy-only Monster class that is exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Bloodthirsty demon dogs that attack with keen-edged fangs, Mauthe Doogs are renowned for their high Skill and Speed that is offset by low HP.

Etymology

• The Mauthe Doog/Moddhey Dhoo, or simply Black Dog, is a legend of Manx folklore. The tale goes that if a person meets a large, ghastly black dog on a dark night, then it is an omen that their death is fast approaching. Occasionally, the dog indirectly (or even directly) causes harm, although it is predominately the early sign of someone's death and not the actual cause.
