Etymology
A guru is a spiritual teacher in the Hindu and Buddhist religions.
The Guru's Japanese name, "Solomon", references the Biblical figure of the same name. In the Hebrew Bible, Solomon, the successor to King David, is credited for building the First Temple in Jerusalem. Non-Biblical faiths also include stories of him as a magician, which is reflected in the class's magical abilities.
Trivia
- The Guru class can be considered an adaptation of the Summoner class, due to the class gaining a spell that summons monsters.
